I had an Instagram account called Dosflange where I first posted regular photos, which eventually turned into multi-exposure edits. Three of those were created collaboratively, which was nice.

I did contact male Instagrammers, too, but never got conclusive commitment to share a post. Maybe some other time!

ALICE MARELLA

She works with floral pigments, plant fibres, and many other natural materials, and we edited a photo of one of her works together, which we then published on our accounts. She even created a video with some music for this post.

My version of our piece was displayed in a local ceramics workshop as a triptych:

To our suprise, by sheer coincidence, we both exhibited some of our work independently on the same week-end in 2024. Her installation was in Mantova, Italy, and mine here in Waldkirch (Germany).

We only found out because we both contacted the other to ask if we could include the work, and the little poem that went along with it:

Few flowers of you
in me will be a garden
and specks of grime
through grubby panes
become pinned stars
with hopes for sunrise

I tuoi vetri
fango
piantiamo semi
informazioni cosmiche
sorrisi di gratitudine

Below is a picture she sent me of her own multi-media installation, in an exposition that was held in the Torrazzo Gonzaghesco, a medieval tower!

I’m really grateful to Alice, for her trust and her friendly initiative in working on this with me. We got so many friendly and encouraging comments on this post!

KATIE C.

She creates digital art with glitch effects, and we edited an auto-portrait of her together, which we then posted on our accounts in November 2022, titled Nymph.

TENA H.

She creates experimental self-portraits by combining photographic fragments, visually superposed with things like linocut prints, text cuttings, or 35-mm film, which she develops herself using a caffenol process.

This is a set of edits that we posted in August 2023, called Three Sides of a Coin .

The first picture was subsequently displayed in an art exhibition, and I’m grateful to her for giving permission.
